And only one left coming out this fall. The final Discworld book, The Shepherd's crown.

Ah I just saw a famous cosplayer do this character, first time hearing of this series but it sounds good.

Wow, he looks really good... it's the version from "The Last Continent". Since 1983 forty Discworld novels have been published and the final book is to be published sometime in late 2015. So... there'll be forty-one books in total. You should start with "The Colour of Magic" and then go on with "A Light Fantastic" (both Rincewind novels), as the first one ends with a cliffhanger (the only Discworld novel to do so). When you get used to the style and the characters, you can actually choose whichever story arc you like... there are several. You could read them the way they were published (that's what I did, but that mixes up the different characters and story arcs...), or you go on with Rincewind, later move to the "Death"-arc, but there's also the "Watch"-arc, the "Witches"-arc... depends on which characters you like most, I suppose. In case you need help with finding the first novel of each arc, just let me know. Discworld can get a bit confusing at times.

I love it! I love how his pose and robes flow into the movement of the tentacles, and the little multi-limbed box is just bizarre yet somehow strangely adorable at the same time. I don't know the reference, but this is a fun sketch.

From what I've read of Pratchette, Adams and Tolkien's more lighthearted work, that sort is just my favorite style of writing. The former has been on my to-read list for years...

Do I even want to know what's on the other side of those tentacles?Β

One of the best parts of the book.
"No one must speak of the number between seven and nine."
"What? Eight?"
*everything goes to shit*
