I like this, this is exactly how Rincewind should look like . He is not a typical old wizard with long white beard for me.
Also, your style is so similar to books covers
I think I like the series about him the most. Which is your favourite?

I like this. I don't know too much about the character but you did very well.

Thank you so much! Usually Rincewind is portrayed as a dotty old man in films or cover art, but from the books alone he always seemed so much younger to me.

I share Torrins excitement over this great drawing!

You have really portrayed him so well dear artist
Amazingly drawn and with the iconic orange beard and a nose that sticks out. Have you ever played the Discworld games where he is voiced by Eric Idle?

If memory serves me right then he was always described as the "least senior member of the faculty" of Recent Runes. Which wasn't a good thing from the standpoint of wizard society mind you. Thee older the better as they say! So I have always pictured him as a guy somewhere between 35 to 47.

Thank you for your support. I love Eric Idle! He's so funny!

You and me both. The man is a national treasure!
He has also made this wonderful introduction song to the game Discworld 2  www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9pQUK…

Thank you. That was funny, and it reminded me of the Bright Side of Life from Life of Brian. Did Discworld 2 ever have a North American release? I only ask because I'd never even heard of the Discworld 2 game.

Good ol' Rincewind!!
Or Vindekåbe as we call him in Denmark!

I simply love his life philosophy:

'Haven’t you ever noticed that by running away you end up in more trouble?’
‘Yes, but, you see, you can run away from that too,’ said Rincewind.  ‘That’s the beauty of the system.  Dead is only for once, but running away is for ever.’

Vindekåbe sounds so cool... what does it mean? I've read all Discworld-novels in English, but at least the first four Rincewind-books in German as well and he's also called Rincewind there.

I see. You have a very good taste in literature

Vindekåbe is a danish term used to mock or describe a person who shifts opinion on the fly to whatever best suits them in the moment. A person who would immediately shift his opinion or weasel out of a situation if he had something to gain from it.

Translated to English I think the term would be a turncoat or a lace up Cloak or laced up Bathrobe.

It's hard not to laugh when you read the name up loud in danish as Discworld or Diskverdenen as we call it, came to Denmark during a time full of serious fantasy stories

And then comes the fateful morning when you realize you've done nothing but run away for twenty years and gained nothing from all that time.

Nothing but a lot of cool stories to tell about close encounters with Death himself
Survival is it's own achievement my friend

"It takes guts to run away. You know. Lots of people would be as cowardly as me if they were brave enough."

Yeah, and if people had the guts of Adrian Monk, no scrap of food would ever touch another.
