Thanks. I actually started to like some aspects of these designs (namely Ironman), ironically enough. But then again, I'm one one of the two people not named Jim Lee that likes the DCNU.
And I have a Black Widow design that I was going to submit, but I would have to do Hawkeye and Fury. And time got tight so I submitted this as is. In hindsight I'm not thrilled with BW's look anyways, so I'm glad it worked out like this.

No, it's true that I actually like the DCNU more than some others. In fact, Superman's "Common Man" outfit (the non-armored one he seems to prefer when not doing League work) is actually my favorite outfit he's ever worn, and the Earth-2 segments are really interesting. I don't even wholly object to his armor.
It's simply that most of the redesigns moved in directions almost as baffling as the outdated designs they replace. Wonder Woman's design, for example, does not solve ANY of the actual issues with her armor (for one thing, it leaves her chest exposed, and for another, it's an armored strapless bathing suit, it should be slipping down and falling off when she merely walks, much less fights).

I loved that outfit, but the comic was lacking. Yeah, the armor, to me is like a Kryptonian uniform based down from Father to son. It makes Superman feel more of a representative for his dead planet. And is it really dumber than the external trunks... thought so.
I liked the Wonderwoman design once they removed the jacket. The jacket just didn't fit. The choker wasn't a slam dunk (or even a decent layup), but I don;t think it made her look as trashy as the fans were saying (ironically these were the same fans that said Wonder Woman could never wear pants).
But when DC gave submitted to the "fans" that demanded her remove her pants, that's when the outfit started to become a failure. I still think the breastplate is pretty cool, and the stars seem more like a motif, than a propaganda piece.
I like the extra lines and stuff. What are readers complaining about? There is no reason to flip a chicken because Superman has textured boots, or they armored Wonder Woman's shirt (which is almost acceptable strapless... almost). Nerd rage is bad. Internet nerd rage

Aye. I was actually fine with the armoring aspect as it concerned Wonder Woman. Of all the DC superheroes, she's the one who SHOULD be armored, as she's actually a warrior. And no, the biker outfit wasn't particularly trashy.
And yes, nerd rage can get quite terrible. I am unfortunately guilty of it's perpetuation.

It makes sense, and it looks cool. The biker outfit was just dated. It didn't look modern or cool (which I'm really sure DCNU is about). That's more Black Canary's forte. Adam Hughes's Wonder Woman design is pretty cool. It's all of the positives of her new suit without the negatives.
Nerd rage, or any form of internet rage is obnoxious, when people rage for the sake of raging... There's no point.

Thanks. I kinda like some of these ideas as legitimate concepts, like the actual DCNU

I'm all for the rivalry (though a lot of fanboys really need to relax), but a cross over could be really cool if it wasn't too biased.
And I'd like to see a little bit more fan based characters. Example Marvel made a special comic for a deaf kid that was bullied because of his hearing aid. I'd like to see more stuff like that. It doesn't have to be canon or in continuation with anything going on in the Marvel Universe, but something that comes out every few months.
Also OCs. That's mostly me wanting to have Tytan to go into action with Spidey and Deadpool, but it could legitimately work if done outside of continuity. Fans can submit candidates and then vote. One winner is announced annually, or however often Marvel wants, and we have a comic. Adds readership and increases loyalty.
