Description Thundercracker and a Seekerling! Wait... whose is that?

This picture is an illustration to 'The Heart Locker' - my fellow player doesn't know yet, but Thundercracker is going to get a Seekerling. Now she knows. >D

This kept me entertained for about two, maybe three hours all in all. I was bored and the idea just popped into my brain, hurr.

[ADDITION:]
Seekers in 'The Heart Locker' are the only race among Transformers that can reproduce actively. Seekers were sought-after soldiers in former times - there were many of them, but since they were that heavily used in war and outside world conflicts, it was necessary for them to recover their numbers without being too much of a drain to Vector Sigma and even if they are lightyears away from Cybertron. Due to this the Seekers bodymodel was designed to bear Seekerlings. There are few Fembots among Seekers, all of them fully able to carry as well, but they aren't that common. Fembots are just a variant form of average Transformers, existent among all races.

However, this approach quickly turned out a failure. Even though they were physically able to give birth, most Seekers did not conceive during times of war. The cause for this could never be ascertained beyond doubt, but it is believed that their inability to reproduce is rooted in an interference between various stress-prevention programs and their programming for preservation. There are no factions in 'The Heart Locker' but when the wide-spanning wars that always ruptured Cybertron finally ended, Seekerlings started to become more common.

Nevertheless, without their further use as superior airforces and with no newborns from Vector Sigma, the number of Seekers decreased steadily and the race slowly started to become extinct. There are few Seekers around nowadays, which is also fault of the big cities that came into being on Cybertrons surface - with so many races on limited space, carrying quickly got stigmatized as primitive and in some places even is seen as something dirty.

There is only one place on Cybertron where Seekers and all of their abilities are welcome: the 'Heart Locker' - a fortress in the middle of a desert, known by Cybertronian tales as being the shelter of a terrible 'demon'. What is the truth about this? Thundercracker learns and it's nothing he would have expected.

[ADDITION 2:]
There is a reason why Seekers in 'The Heart Locker' lay eggs, so stop complaining you all! xD
Since their metal bodies can't stretch as much as an organic body would be able, laying eggs is their only chance to even get children. After birth, those eggs - which are in no way comparable to bird's eggs - keep growing. That's why they are rather tiny at first (although Transformers still think they are fat when pregnant... it's just highly unusual for them to see somebody actually getting chubby.)

A Seeker's egg has a metallic shell that's so hard that even Seekerlings sometimes fail to break through. It consists of tiles which slide on top of each other. While the nanites inside are building the hatchling, they use up the shell so it get's thinner until the little one should be able to break free. When a Seekerling is ready to be born, its 'egg' has doubled in size.

And that's why Seekers lay eggs! o_o

Maybe, but I think she's a little busy herself right now. But it couldn't hurt to ask when she does have free time.
