Trice and Murk went missing at the end of summer. At first Posie had been worried, anxiety spiking at the thought of them being caught up in a Stonehaven attack, but the more she searched the more she realized that they weren't just gone. There was barely a trace of them left after a big storm had rolled through, but Posie wasn't a rhete for nothing- she found faint scent of them beyond the borders. A couple muddy pawprints. She could connect the dots.

Disbelief quickly replaces worry, and then desperation takes root, because surely they wouldn't just leave. Surely Trice wouldn't do that, she wouldn't leave without saying goodbye, right? Posie doesn't want to believe it. The rhete insists on continuing the search for days after the disappearance, dragging along Brick as a begrudging helper - they'd worked together well in the past. There's a new shine to the ornery she-wolf that hadn't been there before, but Posie is too distraught to dwell on it. It just reminds her of Trice, because she'd been glowing too, and it only upsets Posie more thinking about how that night was the last time they shared a den as sisters.

First Azalea, then Corin and Birdie, and now this. Grief and a new, unfamiliar anger strangles her. Why does everyone she loves keep leaving?

Brick is much more realistic about the odds of finding Trice and Murk, suffice to say. Wolves who go missing like those two don't tend to turn back up... for one reason or another. The dios is wary of staying afield too long with the threat of the west hanging over their heads, but she bites her tongue for most of the excursion in a rare show of restraint. She can tell that Posie is too invested in finding her sister to listen to reason, so she resigns to wait until the kilti tires herself out. In the end she gives the rosy wolf three days of fruitless searching before pulling rank, marching them both back to the north.

Jazz hands man Posie sure is a little upset about being left behind again by her family :'] Brick doesn't really give af LOL but she likes Posie well enough to not be a huge bitch for at least 0.2 seconds while she's coming to terms with it.
