SoarScales are the only tribe on Chimarra that is able to fly, thanks to very large arm fins. They are one of 3 tribes that are primarily on land, but SoarScales pretty much control all of it except any cave systems. Their ability to fly and breathe fire is a huge advantage over the others, and they're the second largest tribe next to SirenScales.

SoarScales have long hated SirenScales throughout their history, and theyre pretty much the one tribe that can consistently kick SirenScales off of the mainland. And that's part of the reason SoarScales have also basically taken over all of the mainland as much they can, harming the other two land tribes in the process but I mean, why should they care. The other two tribes should obviously just be grateful that the SirenScales won't eat them now.
Needless to say, the SoarScales don't exactly have good relations with the other land tribes, though it's recently been recovering enough to trade between kingdoms, it's still pretty tense.

Also SirenScales and SoarScales are both larger than the other tribes in size, SirenScales get a bit bigger than SoarScales though. All the Tribes on Chimarra are smaller than on Pyrrhia or Pantala though, including SirenScales and SoarScales. Only SirenScales and SoarScales have the gene that allows them to constantly grow larger throughout their life, like Pyrrhia dragons - no other tribe on Chimarra grows larger than they are as an adult and tend to actually live longer than SirenScales or SoarScales (and even dragons on Pyrrhia).

It's also somewhat ironic that SirenScales and SoarScales happen to share the closest common ancestor compared to the other tribes in Chimarra. SoarScales even have re-purposed arm fins and gill flaps. The gill flaps on their neck can actually open up and help take in more oxygen, giving SoarScales impressive stamina even in flight and letting them fly higher without worrying about oxygen too much.

Unlike SirenScales, SoarScales don't tend to be as cannibalistic - though in the past they have been willing to eat SirenScales. And still kind of are.

SoarScales eat quite a bit of meat, but also can eat plants - and are quite fond of fruits. Quite a few SoarScales have began cultivating fruit plants in the rich volcanic soil of their home to better help feed their growing population.

Unlike on Pyrrhia which is covered in flying dragons, Chimarra has a better, steadier population of birds that can fly around freely. SoarScales will often hunt big raptors or smaller birds.

When SoarScales hatch, they are flightless (duh), fireless and only have white or blue 'baby scales'. As they age, their tougher, warm scales come in and if their bodies are warmed up enough while growing, they'll be able to breathe fire. Most SoarScales can breathe fire, unless they were poorly cared for when they were young and left in the cold constantly.

SoarScales scales are all fire resistant, including the baby ones still left after they become an adult (which never technically go away).

SoarScales have a King who rules in the volcano palace, and the way to become king is pretty much exactly how it is in Pyrrhia to become Queen. A prince can challenge the King to a battle - last one standing becomes (or remains) the King. In the case that the King dies but their are no male heirs, it is possible for the Queen or a Princess to remain in rule of the kingdom until a prince is old enough to take the throne, they still have to battle the Queen to the death however. But usually this situation doesn't happen.

SoarScales can make bird-like calls, though they usually don't use it at all in their speech anymore. Sometimes it's used to get the attention of another SoarScale, usually dragonets.

SoarScale names are usually things that relate to heat, volcanoes, flying, birds or the air.

SoarScales don't have night vision, they can't run super fast and are usually clumsy and terrible swimmers. (Despite having gill-like flaps, they have no gills)
