I find more bitter than death, the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains.
Other than Ecclesiastes 7:26, the concept also reminds me of the "The Bride of the Wind" painting by Oskar Kokoschka. You executed the concept brilliantly with your own style, good work.

I was unfamiliar with both things you brought up. (I had to look them up to know what you were talking about.)
What i gather, it sounds as if there is a negative context towards women in your "bible-ish" quote. As if women have that "sin-ful" effect on men to tempt them and lead them to sin, which i find insulting. That was not my intention with this piece. This piece deals with my story (not that you need that as a frame of refference), and what it is to have something haunting you in your dreams.
I'm glad you liked it though.

Ah, I was just sharing specific examples that can be applied to the more generic theme of disturbed mentality. Both examples used women just as you did in this piece of artwork, but I make no assumption that this pattern extends itself to all females.
I'm very interested, though, to know why you depict the guy's thoughts being "gently" repelled when it seems (to me) the epitome of his agony? Maybe that's the key piece to why it's haunting instead of a nightmare?

My comment didn't get through. I don't think. If it did. I apologise. I was just saying that I love your artwork! I love your style and I admire how emotional it is. I wish I could do that. I also wanted to say that if your comic is for sale, I would love to buy it!! It sounds so interesting!!!

I wanna read your comics SOOO bad. Are they for sale anywhere? I'd buy them in a heart beat. You are such a talented artist. There is so much emotion in your artwork. It's beautiful. I love the style, I've really never seen anything that is so deep. I just love it love it love it. I'd love to be able to do the artwork you do. I guess my style is more. "Punk Rock" than anything.. Well my real stuff. But anyways.. I'm so glad I found you on DA! I could stare at your work for hours and hours!

sometimes naratives give away too much.. and i like to hear what people think of teh image without me giving away it's secrets.. course this never works out.. and i'm alone with "thats great" comments.. stuff that makes me want to throw myself off a building.

i don't blame you... we need a more involved art community, people willing to actually give the critiques we want >_>

i supose thats just human nature. there are some willing to devote.. some who don't understand what it is to recieve a critique.. or those who don't understand that praise is not enough (especially for those who don't need praise anymore, but something more comprehensive and interactive.) I mean for the younger set, praise is great.. children need ecouragement.. as for young adults/adults it's just fluff and easily said crap. Sure, it's nice.. but it's like getting a "i love you" from a complete stranger that just doesn't mean anything to you. It's like "okay.. you said you love me.. but why should i trust your words? are you just saying this cause i look pretty?" No real thinking person gives into surface, banal comments... and thus we can't grow.. but then again people don't understand this concept either... and feel they have to give something in order to give teh person validation. We all like praise.. but it doesn't mean anything til somebody communicates what they're actually thinking.
I know you understand this.. but somehow i felt i needed to vent to a like minded person.. that and teh wine is in me.
*grin*

I really hope you dont get offended by this, but the 1st thing that popped in my head when seeing this was that video...crap what was the name of it...East side or something? It was sung by Moby and Gwen Stefani (long before her solo career) There was one part just before the bridge ended and Gwen was behind him and she ran her tongue across the back of his head. I liked them both at the time and I was like Dude thats awesome! I saw this and I was like Dude! Bad ass!!!
So yes, I like it much!!!! LOL!

Seriously?? OMG that's awesome!!! Oh and sorry about the mix up of the name, it was some side I just forget which one, LOL!
But that's so creepy, I would be getting ready for school and keep MTV (thank the heavens for cable in PR...none of that spanish junk in the morning) and I'd just stop and run o the TV to make sure I didnt miss it, toothbrush in my mouth, combing my hair, LOL!
You're SO right, that scene was hot, LOL!!
Im sorry, he's punked on horribly now (well, mostly my Eminem) but I thought his music was pretty good and he looked particularly hot in that video...And Im sorry but when I saw Gwen do that to him I was like...man when I get a boyfriend I want to do that to him, LOL!!! I mean I can still try it if I REALLY wanted to, but Dee Jay's hair breaks with nothing so I'd be spitting out hair balls all weekend, LMAO!!!
