It was a bitch to name this picture... but i found a song title that seems to fit well. (good song btw) Besides i started listening to a VNV Nation song when i started to do this picture anyways.. least i think it was.
Needed to do a nice formal image for a change. Another strange color palate. I don't know how i feel about it's end result, but it's acceptable. I think i liked the drawing better than the outcome.. oh wells.
Might actually be a scene from my comic... but i'm not telling. ^_~

well currently i'm posting a rough version of my pages online-

I'm currently up to showing book #2 (which was done back in 05.) -I do have potential publishers for my book, and i'm hoping to make it into a trade instead of a single issue comic now. But i'll find out if that will work out when i get a deal. (hopefully i'll get a publishing deal.) Til than, i offer up rough pages as a "taste" and trial run for people to actually read it.

whew...not been online in a while (on DA especially)
....anyway....I'm really digging this pic, I like that the faces are not defined but the poses suggest ALOT of movement, which to me is more appealing cause when things move fast the faces would destort...
it sets up in my mind about what came before the image and whats going to happen after it...like a snapshot of something fast
the colors kind of irritate me...not alot, just makes me feel of balance...like things are decaying around them
overall I think my favorite part is the black outline of the back of Guy's head...I don't know why

yeah, yellow is a tad strange color two have mixed up with the others, but it doesn't take the focus away from the pic so...well done as always =]

how is the new photoshop? (CS3 right?) I'm still stuck on planet PS7.
It's all about varying your brush opacity and flow (and size). That, and using your "real media" brushes in sparse ways. Least to me that's what it's about, that and applying what you know about painting in real life to the digital canvas. I think.

yeah cs3...I never had any other version....so i dont know how to compare...I really think this program can make the difference i need to break into a job doing what I love...much like you have....i always considered you to have a similar style as I do...And we both love the venture brothers....another plus! my gallery might no show the similarities but from the work I have not posted, there are some elements that wer share......Always looking forward to you newest...( its like a free lesson!)
