I'm trying to get back into the swing of digital drawing and making my way through owed art. I like where this ended up, but, boy, was it a ride to get there. I might go back and see if I can find some WIPs. The shading started out all over the place and I sort of forgot how I usually color things when I'm going to paint over them ?? bUT I got there in the end haha. It just...took a little longer than usual it seemed.and looking back on a similar toned piece from 2015 spoonlake.deviantart.com/art/a… , I'm really happy with the improvement!
Anyway, this is my half an trade with damnrocka who is such a patient lovely person ;U; Thank you so much for bearing with my delays and being so wonderful. I hope you like this!

wow, im at a loss for words. you did so amazing, i knew it was going to be amazing anyways, but this is just so beautiful.
you know its funny, because i just found out that my family is being transferred to another province for my dads work, and it hit me pretty hard because i have to cancel my acceptance to university and go. where i live now is all prairies and flat land, and where im moving to is mountains and water and trees. ive been having a lot of trouble being okay with it, and this piece just took me right to where im going to be living with those mountains and that sky and the sun on his back.
i dont know how to explain that this almost kind of, healed, a little piece of me that was aching. i really can't thank you enough for that.
im honestly quite emotional the more i look at the piece. i hope to feel as happy as you made ira look, when i finally get to my new home.
this is truly beautiful, you captured every part of ira's colouring, and even his happy-go-lucky personality. i am amazed and speechless. thank you so, so much, for this beautiful piece of art. i can't thank you enough.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this wonderful comment ;U; You're so welcome! I really had a lot of fun doing this and it got me out of an art rut that I've been struggling in. Ira just seemed like he would love romping around in the mountains, so I'm glad that's fitting of his character <3 aaaa and I'm so sorry you have to move so suddenly, but I don't think I could ask for a better compliment than for you to say this helped you somehow <33 I truly hope you enjoy where you move too as much as Ira does here!
