Welp y'all here's a photoessay if you've ever seen one. This...is my favorite pair of shoes. They are my adidas...I dont even know why style they are, but they're like my indoor soccer shoes, but not. You know the type. Well I've had these badboys for like 4, close to 5 years. Quite comfortable, and Im flat out surprised they've lasted this long. I've tortured them through hikes at Girls Camp, and pretty much everything known to man. They go everywhere with me, they match everything, and I've gone months without ever untying the laces (they've progressed to slip on's, if you will).

Well maybe not everything...until last weekend when I took them canoeing with some friends of mine down Provo River and lets just say they got a nice soaking in some stagnant water. Like, looking at this stuff, its like you're wondering who knows what! is growing in the water and it's green and yeah. When i got home, I just let them be, and didnt wash them or anything and I've been afriad to touch them until today. And boy did I give them the scrubbing of their lives!! Don't worry, I was nice and just finished giving them a nice coat of water proofer to replace their natural oil which they lost in the washing.

It was in the buffing off of the mink oil that I noticed that the studs for the laces all say superstar on them. In all my close to 5 yrs of abusive ownership of these "loafers" I've always assumed it said adidas around the studs but boooooyyyy was I wrong! *muses* kinda cool what you find when you take some time out to take care of stuff you love :smirk:
