whewthis has taken at least 5 hours (I don't even know how that happened, I just never notice how time passes when I'm drawing xD)
it was only meant to be a speedpaint skdjgkjdsfh
anyway, watched bambi again earlier ;-;
and I wanted to take *Ceavit 's advice of just going crazy with colours and adopting an idgaf attitude about my art and just enjoying it. I think it worked. I've learnt a lot about colour even through just doing this. I didn't have a sketch or anything so this was really hard, but it was good to stretch myself.

Aah, this is absolutely wonderful! I adore the purple hues in the shading, and the yellow light really fits the nice and warm forest atmosphere.
The bushes are really lovely, too, with the accentuated parts where the light directly hits the leaves. Maybe it would have been nice if you added some blades of grass in front of the two deer as well though, to give a sense of depth.
ee you should definitely continue working like this on occasion, this is really great!

I'm really glad you like it! I was kind of hoping you would all the way through drawing it. Ah yeah I forgot to add some grass in front of the deer, I might go back and edit that actually.
