Description Been a while since I've drawn one of these. If you're familiar with Darels you should be familiar with their Creator . I don't have all the details right for this specific type of Darel but not bad for memory.

Lately all I've had time to draw is line art, something people must be getting tired of on here. Hopefully that will change soon. Mean while this picture was drawn with pencil, then inked with a black gel pen.

I think you need to try a nice crow quill pen! They're cheap, and will give you wonderful line variation. I only say this because I figure it'd be useful for drawing horses with long, flowing hair.

Actually I normally use those for my pen and inks. I love them to death too. This was done traveling so I didn't have access to the crow quills I had at home.

Yeah, well they show up as quick sketches every now and then in my note books, along with my werecat, random people walking around and things not even I can recognize. This one got inked.

I think Freha will love this... instantly recognisable as a Darel, just the right mix of elegance and strength! I love the intricate work around whatever it is in his claws, lol.

Thank you. I think I decided that the stuff in his hands were water. And thank you. don't know if I'll continue with other works of this guy or not. I have the urge to give him strips.

Ooh. Very well done. I'm loving all the detail from the flowing hair to the magic swirlies. The feathers on the wings could be a little looser, but other than that, gorgeous.

Thank you. and you see my major weakness in my art. I still struggle with feathered wings.

Awww~ Feathers aren't so bad. If you can get ahold of a bird's wing (live or freshly-dead) just take a really good look how the feathers overlap one another on both the top and bottom sides of the wing... extend and allow the wing to refold in slow motion a couple of times... and I bet you'll get it in no time!
