The Friendly Fires playing the Engine Shed in Lincoln for the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour 2009...Light was awful for this set; monochrome reds or blues, which was annoying because they were the band with the most stage presence by far.
I really recommend their album, if you like indie but think it all sounds the same, check Friendly Fires out - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mmm... I remember when I first knew of their existance - they opened for Lykke Li, and this little dynamo's hips blew me away.

I like the contrast caused by the black and white, especially with the shadow covering part of his face. It give the photo a more mysterious feeling.

This is an awesome photo and yeah Friendly Fires are quite different from the average indie band. I saw them at the iTunes festival last night, their new songs sound really good.
