I think the long claws are for Wolverine and Daken...

Even X-23 has long claws in comics.
Its mostly drawn to be as long as her forearm.

I saw different versions of her claws in comics...

although I prefer the Mike Choi's design

(he draw the x-23's claws in a medium size)
