Description Been enjoying myself the past couple of weeks, something about painting, just for fun, with no real purpose, that I've sorely missed.

btw, I'm posting these as I do them on twitter

Man it's amazing to see how you've progressed over the years. I actually did everyone of your tutorials on your website back in like 2002 or sometime near that for photoshop before I even knew what a 3d app was lol. I still use those techniques and you were amazing back then and just awe inspiring now.

Good job bro.

Apocalyptic! You seem to be favouring lightning and large moons in the sky... perhaps your werewolf side is emerging? They're all highly intruiging, would be nice to see a few decriptive words on each just to see what you were thinking about while creating them... that is unless you prefer to let the art speak for itself, which it does loudly and proudly.

spyroteknik In reply to PlasmaX7 [2009-03-26 09:32:48 +0000 UTC]

As they just kind of happen as I go, I rarely have thoughts about them, when I do fully rendered images I've got time to add story elements but for these puppies, it's, ooh, that looks nice, I'll add a tree

PlasmaX7 In reply to spyroteknik [2009-03-26 18:42:40 +0000 UTC]

Ah, so it's entirely in your subconscious?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spyroteknik In reply to PlasmaX7 [2009-03-26 19:33:59 +0000 UTC]

pretty much, yep, paint on the fly, not sure of an outcome til it's done, even when I do a finished image, I add the story/title afterwards

PlasmaX7 In reply to spyroteknik [2009-03-26 20:43:27 +0000 UTC]

So the art really does speak for itself, haha... well, these appear to be very interesting concepts to me. Going to take any of them further?

spyroteknik In reply to PlasmaX7 [2009-03-26 21:21:03 +0000 UTC]

Probably not, although the boat on the water might get a seeing to eventually, they're more of a release & learning tool than anything

PlasmaX7 In reply to spyroteknik [2009-03-26 23:20:41 +0000 UTC]

Fair enough. I guess the fact that you've done these practices will lead to their influence on your polished pieces anyway. It's great that you show us them in any case.
