So, for the past year, I have been working on and off on a game, and finally it is done. It's pretty short and pretty simple, but it's got plenty of squashing in it (Though it's all pixel art. Art is not my strong point.) And it can be downloaded right here:

Controls:
X = Shoot and advance dialogue
Z = Jump
Arrow Keys = Movement
Esc = Return to the main menu
Alt + Enter = Fullscreen
I hope you all enjoy it. Content-wise it's similar to my works, so if you enjoy those, you should enjoy this, but I was teaching myself programming while making this, so I apologise in advance for the inevitable bugs you will come across. I also plan to continue making games, and have already started on my next one, which will involve my very unlucky weasel sheriff character Texas, getting in trouble as always. If you run into any serious issues while playing the game let me know and I'll try to fix those, but keep in mind I'm quite new to this.

Hey! Glad you've enjoyed it. I made this with Game Maker: Studio, which was free, but sadly with the release of Game Maker: Studio 2, they've discontinued the free version of the software. I still use it though and it still works, so maybe you'll be able to find a copy of the old Game Maker: Studio somewhere online? As for tutorials, there's an entire series of Youtube videos showing you how to code a platformer.
