Description I really just wanted to draw a messy desk, but some new meanings got interwoven along the way. 0.1 micron on A4 paper.

Happy New Year! If you want to own an artwork like this, I am currently doing small pen drawing commissions for only $10 AUD.

WOW!
I really like how detailed it is!!!
I personally love drawings that are full of detail and I was surprised by the amount of detail in this drawing.
I really can't imagine how long you've been drawing this.

I love the fact that the man and some objects on the table have shade, while the table doesn't have, In my opinion, this helps the image not be overloaded.
Every time I look at it I have the sensation of two worlds choking. A world of memories mixing with the apparent real life.
Each object on the table seems to have a meaning of its own, like a separate story in small pieces.

Also i want to say that i really like the perspective, personally i'm really bad at perspective haha. ^^'

This is all i wanted to say, really good job.

Hello! I’m here from ProjectComment.

First, overall, this drawing is amazing. I’m in awe over the amount of detail you put into it, and the amount of time that must have taken. That’s the sort of thing that would drive me nuts, especially if I did it by hand, so… consider me very impressed. Especially with the ark crescent shapes on the lefthand side and where they intersect with the various objects — that’s just an incredible eye to detail, even with certain see through parts. Just amazingly well done and thoughtful.

The area I would point to as maybe benefitting from more attention or care would be the artist you portrayed. For the most part, he looks good — the way you drew his arms and torso matches the style of the rest of the drawing, so I won’t focus on proportionality as much as I usually do, but the angle and size of his head, and the angle of his hair, seem a bit off. Like, I want to tug his hairline a bit to the right and add on an ear . I might also make it about ten percent smaller over all, or at least bring his hair closer in to where his scalp would be since it’s pulled back tightly into a ponytail.

Having him cast some shadows onto the desk might add a bit of depth to the picture, but I’m not sure that’s really needed — without them, he kind of seems like he’s one with the desk, engulfed in his work to the point of not even noticing that spilled drink there. So, it fits this style… I guess I’m saying it’d be an interesting addition, but it’s not necessary. Your call.

Okay, that’s all I have for now. If there's anything I missed that you were hoping to get a comment on, let me know and I'll swing by again.

Kevin

Thank you very much! Your feedback on the person really helps as I generally have a lot of trouble drawing people, particularly proportioning the head

This looks amazing! The way everything is cluttered up really gives a claustrophobic feel to it. So much so that I hardly even noticed the word "help" written in the notebook. Speaking of which, the amount of drawings that are lying on the table and what they represent can subtly convey the need to go outside and/or take a break. The lack of color Emphasizes these things even more.
