It was the brief hope felt by the people across America as Henry Lodge supplanted the Old Guard Stoddard and laid out his vision for a new society. Until the many groups which had no place in Wholesome White America started talking of living a life of dignity. When the spectre of the second revolution, never quite buried, reappeared. But by the time the bullets and the tear gas arrived it was too late. The American people had done this before, and this time they would not be turned back.

By the time Che made his famous landfall in the New Orleans Commune the outcome was all but decided. Nixon had turned coat, the Panthers held the south and each day the regime's territory shrank just a little bit further.
