He's okay in the second. I mean, if you read Firestar's Quest, you see that he's given a prophecy about his daughters... he probably changed his whole life around because of the prophecy D: He seems to be getting a little better in the fourth series, in my opinion.

That is kinda true.
I liked him better when he was just Firepaw though. Cute little Firepaw ...

Speaking of which, something I don't get: why does Firestar only take one book to become a Warrior when pretty much every single other character takes maybe 3?

Because in the first book, they rushed the timeline and originally, they only planned on creating one book. So they had to rush it to where he became a warrior ^^ The other books (a series, really..) just take things slower and time does not go by as fast.
