Here's the variant cover to Zenescope's upcoming release Tales From Wonderland: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum one shot which is due out I think this September.This one was a bit tricky because I had to fit quite a bit of information into one picture, and Alice had to be laying down. No exceptions. She had to be clearly on an ocean beach wearing a blue two piece bathing suit and wearing a charm necklace with "Alice" in cursive writing. Tweedle Dee & Dum had to be behind her fighting over the sun tan lotion with the lotion squirting into the air.
When I first pictured it in my head I kept visualizing in on a horizontal layout, but that's juts not an option with comic covers. So through trial and error I produced this and My editor said, "with her face being this close to us make sure she's really pretty" Which kind of made me think, "Do I usually draw ugly chicks?" so for added kicks I untied Alice's bikini top.
Anywho, here's the pencils and of course colors will be posted soon.

I looked at this one a long time - I love to study the little details of every picture I see -try and learn a little more about style, composition and stuch. Something was throwing me off, though - something about the feet. Portraying believable perspective in anything is already kind of difficult - doubly so for feet and hands. But I figured it out - it wasn't the perspective, so much as the...logic?
If I'm not the first one to say this - I apologize for being repedative. But this lady has two right feet.

Good eye actually, you are only the second person to catch onto the two right feet. Keep up those observation skills and you'll be going places. This piece is almost a year old now so I see a lot of flaws as well, but I guess that's part of the learning process.

Still, I have to admit that similarity is uncanny, to say the least.
