I kind of hope Azula dies. In a ridiculous way. Meaning that I hope Toph drops a boulder on her ass. Toph >Azula. JUST SAYING.
But seriously, mocking Toph for being blind is one (really stupid) thing, but hurting Sokka's feelings? Bitch, you better watch yo' back.
One of my greatest wishes is that Toph will get pissed off in the future and storm into Ba Sing Sei. We'll watch from afar as bodies begin flying every which way. Then she'll emerge five minutes later with the Dai Li trailing behind her looking beaten, but resigned. And Azula's rule will end because Toph is just too cool to be ignored.

Toph definitely needs more screentime (I almost wrote explosives instead of screentime!). If Suki is dead than Sokka def. needs to take on Azula and Toph should be there to back him up. And they should make up their own special attack called something like: "TOPHSOKKA EXPLOSIONPALOOZA EARTH BOOMERANG METEORITE MEAT AWESOME ATTACK OF AWESOME." and it will be so hardcore that Nick will have to edit it out, because they were afraid that people would send angry letters about how their kids went into comas right after seeing the epicness of Toph and Sokka's attack.

Toph really owned in DOBS. I was in tears laughing when she kissed her fingers while metalbending. Azula was awesome, too, and I don't hold a grudge against her because, no matter what, I love me some in-character actions. I also love the thought of a Toph/Azula fight. That would seriously own.
Over all, I really love how you did this picture. Very smooth lines and positions. I still can't get over that "wibble-lip" Sokka... it's hilarious. GREAT STUFF.

i do love azula, in her own, very special way. i wish she hadn't made the lame TOPHISBLIND HARHARHAR *twirls mustache* comment, but whatever. I love her the most out of the fire nation kids. Because she's so CRAZY and also at least partially competent.
But in the end, Toph is still so much more hardcore.
I love making faces for Sokka, because he's such an emotional character. Always at the extremes.

Sokka is so fun to draw because of that. It's something you have to really make sure you're getting in his character, otherwise you just can't see him in the picture. But you, my friend, have done very well with his extreme expressions.

You know how there was that one long focus on Suki's sword hitting that tree before Azula beat the snot out of her? If Suki's dead, Sokka is so inheriting that sword. Then he'll be, like, Twoblade McGillicutty or... something. You know what I mean.

i really hope suki's dead. it just adds so much more problems to sokka's life. it'll really give him an over protective complex that will be awesome to delve into. its not even that i don't like suki - i adore suki. but i like emotional sokka more. sokka hiding behind his silliness, sokka getting extremely protective of the rest of his friends, sokka's deep and powerful grudge against azula - all very awesome things.

Suki's great, sure, but compared to the main crew she is just not the same kind of concentrated awesome. But hey, how come your journal says you want Toph not to be able to get her man?

well in the long run, i'd like toph to get sokka. but for the actual show... i mean, as much as i want suki to be dead (that sounds so mean!), i don't think she is. And i want sokka to be happy. and i think Toph does too. in the end. She just wants him to be happy. So i kind of like the idea of a really sad Toph, punching rocks and thinking about how she should just push Suki off a cliff, but knowing that she can't. She'd rather see Sokka happy with Suki than alone. Because as much as I don't care about the age gap, Sokka surely will and so will parents. Thus Tokka in canon is so unlikely, but I want it to be done in a way that shows that Toph's feelings go deeper than just a crush. That even as young as she is, she can understand that Sokka's happiness is more important than anything else.
And I want Sokka to remain oblivious. Because I like the idea of them meeting years in the future and hanging out and it's just like old times, only there's something different about it too. And he falls for her on his own, without knowing her feelings or anything. And the whole time, she's still ridiculously in love with him. And he tries to talk himself out of it, acknowledging the age difference and the fact that she's his best friend, but eventually there's an awesome climax and Toph's like: "you're so stupid." and then they make out.
so yes, requited future!tokka is made of win. Current requited Tokka-love? No. It isn't going to happen. But that doesn't mean that they can't be Best Friends Forever and that Toph's feelings can't be deep enough to realize that Sokka may need Suki more than her right then.
But i think someone should probably acknowledge that Toph did a very good thing and tell her she's a wonderful person and give her a friendly hug.
