Get it? BECAUSE SHE'S BLIND.And because I like never draw Avatar junk anymore.
Anyway, even though the movie is apparently a racist pile of absolute fail there is some good that has come from it's release!
1) Increase in awareness about Hollywood whitewashing! Woo!
2) I am slowly making my way through the series again from the beginning, which I haven't done since the finale!
3) I have been drawing Avatar shit off and on this past week or so.
ANYWAY, ship wars are still stupid. Toph/Sokka is awesomesauce.

and I agree! before seeing the movie I marathoned all three seasons and remembered why I loved it so terribly much! though yes, the movie sucked.

Yeah I saw it at the midnight premiere (which, I will begrudgingly still do for the next two films), and it was the first film I had ever seen that when the credits rolled, it was silent, until one guy yells "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT".
it was terrible, I promise you. But good for a laugh! It's hilarious to watch because for like a year now, Mnightshamalamadingdong has been like OH YES I DO LOVE AVATAR OH YES. and then you watch it and you're like HMM I don't think we've been watching the same show!
p.s. if you do go see it, prepare to cringe at the way they decided to "correct" the pronunciations of names. Iroh, Aang and Sokka's names are pronounced differently. I was flinching every time they said it.
Also Appa sounds like some dying animal.

The movie made me remember how awesome the actual Avatar series is... sooooo.... yeah I think that even though the movie seems to be terrible it's actually making people nostalgic for the original series.

Haha, it's a great show! I've been putting off rewatching it for awhile, because I've seen a lot of the first season eps multiple times and I was kind of :\ about watching them to get to SEASON 2 <33333
But I'm actually enjoying S1! Even without the addition of Toph and the Dangerous Ladies.

names of almost everything were done wrong, most the fun charachters were gone, the action was lame and it felt familiar to the show, but if you havnt seen the show, it would just be confusing.

I mean, I do understand cutting a lot of characters/events because NOT ENOUGH TIME, but they apparently it just felt like a completely different world/characters and that's... unfortunate. Apparently Katara and Sokka didn't really do very much or had a lot of character bits. And also I hear the dialogue was ATROCIOUS. XD

and there were long flashbacks on things like aang running away, and monk iatso being a good example and the agne 'key' between zuko and his dad. but not for things like getting trapped in an ice berg, the fire nation starting a war, or yue's birth and moon story. not that they didnt tell these stories, they just showed us dynsmic close ups of boring people talking.
