I've tried my hand at some of these programs myself, but they look cold and steely. (So not my cup of tea.) But I have a better understanding of what sort of work goes into each one. You have some real talent! You should be proud of that!

Now that I haven't been here for a few months myself, I kind of even forgot how they work.

Since making these comments, I've actually finally wizened up to the fact that you're a part of the MoogleOutfitters trinity of talent! (Yes, I can... be... that slow some times.) Also since then, I've picked up XPS/XNA and played around, so it doesn't feel as steely. I'm warming up to it, now.
No need to feel embarrassed. Getting back into something like this within a few hours is totally fine. What's embarrassing is picking up a game you've played through like a million times and getting a game over at the first opportunity. "I'm a veteran, I swear!" doesn't hold back the laughter, you know? As that's the tool of my trade, I can totally relate. But yeah, no need to feel embarrassed, we always need the refresher after an absence.
