It was a normal day in the Galor region. In the distance, Gloria spots a Max revive but she spots a problem for her. Normally, she wouldn't have too much of a problem getting it but today was different. The rains from yesterday were hard and long and numerous mud puddles were made. And this Max revive had to lie in the center of the biggest puddle of the year. Her boots were her favorite for going around the region and they new and hard to clean off dirt. She couldn't risk dirtyingΒ them so quickly. She thought for it a little it but decided that she would take off her footwear and hold it in her arms. (They were too big to put in her bag and she didn't want any of her boots to be a plaything of a wild Pokemon. 'Victor had already been a participant of such a joyous occasion ... And he made sure to tell Gloria all about THAT *lovely* experience.') She also decided to call out her trusted Scorbunny for protection as wild Pokemon have been a frequent today.
"Go Scorbunny!"
In an instant, Scorbunny appeared out of it's Pokeball, it seemed happy to see it's trainer again.
"Heh heh, hey my wee friend, we have an important item to get for the coming battle coming up and I need ya to get me out of a pinch that may come if a cheeky fuffian wants to have a fit.
It looked so happy to help out it's trainer and was willing to do anything for her.
"The problem is, we have to go it he muck over there..."
The scorbunny looked dead at the puddle, then to it's paws, and then to the trainer. It's happy smile turned into a frown.
"I know, I hate it too but we both know we need this trinket. I'm sorry chap."
In the first instances of it's journey, it was unpleasantΒ to say the least. Each step was cold, slimy feeling, and overall just gross for both of them. But they needed to endure.
"Tripes! This mud isn't for neither of us, eh? Oi Scorbunny, I think we may have made a weee mistake going into this puddle O' mud huh?"
"Squii squi" [That is my attempt to create Scorbunny's sound. I'm sorry if I'm wrong.] (It's so dirty and it makes me go so sloooow! My paws are getting muddy! I hate this!)Β
"Aye, tell you what. When we get this item here, we can go to that wee pond over there and clean ourselves off. How does that sound lad?"
Squi. (Fine we'll do that.)

After the Max revive was retrieved, they made their way to the pond a couple of meters away from them. As they walked, stains of grass and dirt covered the soles of their feet. This would be normal for Scorbunny and Gloria would have kind of enjoyed walking on the soft grass and ground under normal circumstances, but the wet ground made it uncomfortable and the mud tracked all sorts of pebbles and debris underfoot. But when they made it to the pond, it felt worth the trouble as the cool water felt pretty nice in the warm sun, a bit of water was helpful for cooling herself off. Maybe this wasn't as bad as she though after all. [I don't know if water hurts Scorbunny so if it does she gently wipes it's paws with a cloth but if not then it shall receive a nice scrubbing on it's paws.]
I like how she took off her boots and socks off to cross the mud. Just a minor detail that gives personality to our Gloria.
