Description here is the second pic. he is a little sideways but I had no interest in rotating him since I am going to put all these into my scraps once he is finished. If anyone knows anything about Nectridians I would love to know if this guys neck is thick enough ect.

Polymer clay.

Any specific brand? I try to use super sculpy but it's very hard on my hands, I have fibromyalgia and too much physical stress worsens it. I was just curious whether this polymer clay was easier to work with.
Thanks.

Always one of my favourite animals. Too bad he doesn't have more awareness.

My firebelly newts look the same except of the head, the texture and colour of the skin is really life-like.

I have 3 big Pleurodeles newts and they were my model for the little fella's skins texture... (which is not finished yet). I fear sculpting his tiny feet!!!

There you go again, sculpting one of my favorite prehistoric critters! It's looking fantastic so far. Great job on the skin textures, more leathery on the fleshy parts of the torso, more pitted and pebbly on the skull, where the bone is directly beneath the skin. That's a nice touch.

He has wise little eyes.

Hey thanks man... I was going for newty type skin... I don't know if this is correct or not but it was an aquatic thing so... he is to scale with my Eryops.

Yeah, it's a real non sequitur when you say it in the wrong conversation.
