I like the light dark contrast. The blood running down the arm (in veins?) is a nice touch. Very steeped in ancient pagan mythology (I mean that as a good thing).

My concept was that with the Earth slowly dying (as in people's pollution, disasters, wars etc) which is represented by blood, Hades is absorbing that 'death' through hands which can be shown by the veins.

If you ever get really bored one day and you want to I suggest checking out this website dedicated to the varying ways of actually destroying the earth . Since that was the focus of your work and all it is slightly related. Be aware that it isn't an easy read, there are plenty of concepts that you have to wrap your head around, but it is interesting.
