Everyday I'll approach another person, be it a friend, family member or total stranger. I'll ask them to put the words I am somewhere on a sheet or whereever they like, and let them add whatever they want.Day 14: Vienna - January 9, 2006
Eli chose to write the words "I am FARFALLA" - farfalla is Italian for butterfly. She plans to study translation for English and Italian after Photography School.

I like the birds eye view angle. Probably the problem in shooting portraits is the facial expression but that is something that can't be helped sometimes (or that is the expression you are really after, then there is no problem). Then again you carry your concept well even in your other deviations. Keep it up!

A very touching photograph, and the expression on your model's face is priceless.
It's also a really nice touch that she's standing by the window, the one place you would expect to see a buttefly.

What you're doing is actually kinda cool. They try to use that as a gimmick in some Coke commercials, but what you're doin is real....so I like it....

Puttin the words on the wall was a nice touch. And the girl's facial expression makes her look serious. Like she means what she said......

It's usually shown in theatres before a movie. A group of teens take a road trip to find out what other teens are doing in order to break whatever the stereotype of teens is. And some how soda is important in their journey. The army is also doing it with the whole 'Army of One', because the number of recruits has gone down. But yeah, they try usin it all the time..........

wirklich total klasse serie könnt das werden...bisher siehts jedenfalls danach aus...die beiden bilder die du gemacht hast sind erstens inhaltlich I AM....sehr interessant ....sagen nämlich viel aus über einen menschen wie ich finde...gute erinnerungsstücke werden das denk ich mal für dich sein....
und außerdem sind es sehr gute aufnahmen...diese hier gefällt mir bspw. sehr gut

wow... i don't know where to begin, so i'll just go random... you and Eli (for choosing the "media" to write on) have got it perfect... the background, the details, the harmony, the shadows, the shadow framing. the framing in this one looks great and natural along with her shadow, and it also somehow brings her waaay to the front, as if she and the background are completely seperate photos, but somehow combined in a successful composition. one of the best in the series.

Yes, she wrote it onto the wall... and I darkened the borders, as I did with almost every photograph of this series to really give the focus onto the person and message.
