Description I made this Suit many years before I started to sew "real" historic clothes.
"Interview with the Vampire" is one of my favourite movies, and I completely fell in love with the costumes in that movie, especially the men's suits although they are far away from being "authentic", as I now know.

This is my interpretation of Lestats blue and gold rococo suit, but I chose the colors black and silver for my version.

It's made of black velvet ironed on vliseline and white cotton and lace for the shirt.

Oh, Hell yes! If only more men had the daring to wear long coats and frills. Fashion sense is lacking among the males of my generation.

I love the costumes from Interview as well, I made a 1/6 scale version of Claudia's blue bustle gown it's in my gallery on page 3. Excellent job here!

*dies dies dies* x3 lestat is soooooo cool!! i still havnt seen interview with a vampire, but i learnt a piano piece he was playing when he was arguing with someone (i saw a short clip) ahhh its the best

I've always wanted to make my boyfriend wear something like this... you know, the whole, 'lace at the collar and cuffs' thing its so sexy xD

Nevertheless, this looks wonderful!

and as for taking note of costumes in movies, that makes two of us..
i watched this movie a few days ago, some old russian one, and i didnt get half the story because i was just staring at the dresses

Thank you again

Yes, Lesat is great *gg* .. normally I don't like Tom Cruise a lot but as Lesat ... just great

I wish I could make my boyfriend wear something historical as well, but rococo wouldn't suit him .. victorain would be great for him, he has long hair, half of it already grey

Thank you
The suit has a few mistakes I have to repair some time.
I also like the tournure dress of the female vampire with the red hair in the catacombs, but I can't get good pictures of it *grrr*

Well, I cut the lining too narrow. If you wear the suit its not too comfortable. I have quite wide shoulders for a woman and therefore I have to make a new lining for the justaucorps.
Well, it was the first jacket-like piece I've ever made
