Description Initially I was going to put this in with my scraps. This is not a bad drawing per-say but I played this character in a D&D for three years. I dunno... His name is Briggs. He is a ranger.

His smirk really adds to his personality.

My old D&D character. Sigh.... Yeah, he started out happy but ended up grumpy. I think he was sneezy, sleepy, and dopey in between.

I like him.
He reminds me of a very big, hairy and friendly dog. The kind that licks you completely wet.

You are very smart!
That was Briggs to begin with. Latter he became a mean old dog. A life of adventure can make you rough. I hope some day Briggs will get back to the big friendly dog he used to be.

True, No one wants to deal with a girl with a princess complex. No, Briggs need a woman that can stand living in the woods with him. Not too afraid to get her hands dirty. Someone that wont freak when she finds out his best friend is a raccoon.

my grandparents used to sleep with the dog, a raccoon can't be much worse.

I don't know. I'm not sure I'm willing to put a raccoon in my sleeping bag to find out.

hmm yeah I guess they are bit more fidgety and probably also smell also a bit more than a dog. Peddy wasn't a big dog.

Doesn't it? You instantly want to befriend this guy. That's one of the reasons i believe this to be the best "Archer" i've found yet (and belive me, i've been looking HARD).

Also the clothing and bow have "realistic yet cool" written all over them.

Love the cool texture of the paper, makes it look almost like a wanted poster...

Thanks! I’m kind of proud of the costume design on this so I’m really glad you like it! Your right, the texture of the paper, does give it a wanted poster look. I suppose Briggs is a bit of an out-law!

Omega9000 In reply to staino [2007-12-27 22:31:43 +0000 UTC]

Maybe as a drawing idea, do like an old western style wanted poster and put a black and white picture of Briggs in it. (Like bold letters that say "Wanted", and "Large cash reward - $ 1???????"

staino In reply to Omega9000 [2007-12-28 18:47:34 +0000 UTC]

I will have to try doing a wanted poster one of these days It's a good idea!

If you finish the one for Briggs, would you do one of my character "Damon Ironheart"? Hes a gladiator on the run so I thought it would be cool if you could do one of him for me...

AH! XD For a some reason, I knew, he's a D&D character O_o Hm, I play D&D for 2 years, mainly as a GM, so maby I have something like a sixth sense Nevermind. I'd like to say, it is SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! The drawing's so good, that they should put it in book! And yes, his smile is cool.
And about paper-look - you used a texture, or what?

staino In reply to Berowa [2007-10-20 17:32:13 +0000 UTC]

O.K. About the yellow paper Briggs is on. Here is the secret. I scanned the blank front page of the Dungeons & Dragons players manual, and my drawing, and then composed the two in Photoshop. Briggs make another appearance here in my gallery... He is ridding A two legged lizard creature in the image entitled Runner. There you see him with a full beard.

And by the way - I saw the Runner pic. And I think, that here Briggs looks better.

What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage! What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? Courage! What makes the dawn come up like thunder? Courage! What makes the Hottentot so hot? What puts the "ape" in apricot? What have they got that I ain't got.

And just look at those mutton chops!
