Drawn on a sheet of colored cardstock with a blue lead in a leadholder. Colored with Prismacolor markers and inked with an F PITT pen and a brushpen. Highlights/lightning fx added in with a white Hanson China marker for kicks.

You know what? I like the texture in the hair. Bit of dry brush, marker bleed through and line variation. I've always been curious about this, but what's the actual theory behind line thickness? At least, what are you doing, Dan, when you make a line thicker than another? I know there are two light sources, but the outline suggests they're of a similar strength...
I need to read Gary Martin.

I'm the last person on earth you should be asking about inking particularly lineweights since I only do it out of neccesity mainly because very few folks actually like to ink my stuff.
That being said, since this was just something I did really quick as a warm-up for the regular workload I didn't really think about much technique going into it. I just wanted to pop things out especially since Gozer's outfit is pretty simple and in the pencilling stage it was easy for bodyparts to get mixed together visually. The bold outline surrounding the entire figure is just me trying to do a very poor imitation of manga type pin-up art so that mixed with the other inner lineweights is what is probably making the lightsource look funny.
Add to that some kinda weird channelling Humberto Ramos' style into the mix and you get a really wonky piece that took me all of a couple of minutes to realize. Reading up on Gary Martin's stuff and following some of the guys on here like Townsend and Williams will definitely help you out more than anything you can learn from me. Another cat who really gets some mileage out of his inks in a cool style is Eric Canete. That guy is a beast all around.

I wanted to show how much of a "nimble little minx" Gozer can be and having her hanging upside down came to mind for some reason. Glad to know it worked even if it is something we didn't see in the film.
