I think people get too weird on this subject. The majority people seem to think that we should pick and choose who can have an abortion.
But that really means everyone is divided. And it's understandable to have your own opinion, in my mind we should have abortion as an option but we should also focus on better educating people on how to be safe. And that people who it's an accident for (defective protection users, rape victims, minors) all have access to it as an option.

The title about this issue truly perplexes me. Of all the things we could have choices about, like whether or not to have medicare, whether or not to own and bear arms, to have religion or not, to drive or not, of all the things we could've chosen for this to mean, why the hell did we narrow it down to whether or not to kill a baby out of convenience?

I'm sure you could choose to say you are pro choice for whatever you want, but when abortion first even became something people needed a right to you had one side chanting 'pro-life', its only normal the other had to find something catchy to retort with. But i suppose the same could be asked of 'prolife' why do we use it to refer to a movement behind care of a fetus, something that's barely alive to begin with instead of for grown functioning humans, or for vegans or animal welfare activists or something that support animal life? It's just how things happened is all.

I believe abortion should stay and always be a choice. Even if they illegalize it, women will still find ways to abort unwanted children. I hate how the women who's pregnant, gets all the blame. No one really says anything about the guy who helped her get pregnant. Condoms are not a 100% preventing pregnancy item. Getting pregnant from rape also happens too. Making abortion illegal will just increase numbers of unwanted children. Not all children that are put up for adoption are adopted. I also despise how people think a patch of cells means a heck of a lot more than the women's own life.
I overall think its women's body, women's choice. Who thinks they have a right to tell everyone what they should and shouldn't do with themselves? Everyone has a right to their own body and choices.

I put together something I've been inspired to write by other people on being pro-choice.
First of all, a fetus/embryo is not a separate being. It is not autonomous, it is not conscious, it does not feel, and it does not think. This shouldn't be something I even need to explain. It is fully integrated into the body of its host, completely dependent upon its chemicals and energy. It is an extension of the host's body. And even if it weren't? The fetus is not in control of the woman's body. It's her body, her property, and even her life. In that case, she has the right to remove it as she has the rights to her body and no other [thing] does.
Now here I can't speak for you personally. But this is for anyone who does think to any of the below.
A "pro-lifer" wouldn't care about it after it's birth. You wouldn't care about whether it is already dead or dying now. You wouldn't care about the suffering it could endure, you won't defend its rights after birth. But otherwise you'd scream and preach about parental rights the moment it technically exists. You won't protect it if it becomes LGBT or atheist. Instead, you want to put it in the adoption system, where thousands of children go unwanted and become depressed and most likely hateful. All you care about is if it lives, not if it endures any suffering. That doesn't matter one bit.
States have already drafted bills that allow for investigation to be done in case of miscarriage. Hell, a woman in Ohio was charged with homicide for trying to end herself, which caused her to miscarry.(lost the source and will find it when I get the time) THIS is the reality of what anti-abortion means. People have been jailed for miscarriages. Wasn't too long ago when they tortured people for miscarriages, either, mind you.
Let's also point out that not every person/couple who have an abortion are promiscuous villains. Even if there was unprotected sex, what if there was a lie involved? What if they didn't see it coming? What if they were in danger of disease?
You know why I'm pro-choice? It's because it is in fact safer and is a human right on all accounts. Of course there are limits and points and medical issues to take in, but going to a professional clinic is much more safer than being beaten, pushed down stairs, or using a coat hanger to do it yourself.
There are already so many children waiting to be loved and adopted, hell, even DYING because the focus is turned to those with the "potential" to live. Why not focus on those who are already living and most likely suffering? Are they not more important? They could use those cells from the stem cell researches which would help loads of medical science, and then that "potential" life would have had significant meaning.
Now of course a child is a responsibility and not a piece of trash, but it shouldn't be a burden either. Medically speaking, they are definitely parasitic. They steal everything they need from the mother and the mother(or host I suppose) will suffer if she doesn't get double the nutrients she needs to sustain that extra life. Then sometimes it boils down to what she knows, what her doctor will tell or give her, or even what she can afford.
But that's just my thoughts.

Fetuses are not humans, they are literally just things. You can't murder them.
