what if the mother can't give her child a good life because she is poor, lives in terrible conditions, and knows she will not be able to provide a good life for the child? why force someone to go through pregnancy and struggling to raise a child all because other people think that's the best option? just allow another child grow up suffering and in turn affects their mental and emotional health, not to mention other factors? sure, she could send the child to an orphanage, but why make a child intentionally grow up without his/her bio parents (among other life crises) simply because other people who have nothing to do with you have opinions about what you should do with your body. if it's your body, shouldn't you be allowed to do whatever you want with it? especially if it is a decision involving directly your life?

Anyways, she can always give up for adoption or abort /before/ the fetus forms. If her life is threatened, then it's perfectly fine. The matter's that the person she's raising in her uterus has their own body and life; it's not choosing over your body, but choosing over someone else's. If she can't raise a child, she should've been more careful. Everyone has a right to live.

when i posted this comment i was really skeptical about abortion and was trying to come up with reasons why it should be allowed. since then ive realized there are no reasons that justify murdering a baby (yes, a baby, not a fetus or embryo or "clump of cells"...) and no matter what the situation is, ending a life because you cant handle it is not something i agree upon in the end. like you pointed out there are measures you can take. your comment is very well written and i appreciate that (also for not being rude). ive watched abortion videos and seeing women walking around ending their 8th month pregnancy just made me break down and cry. thats not right. never. anyway thanks for replying to this. i do agree with just about everything you say here.

I don't think abortion is right at any time during a pregnancy, but before the child develops its organs and other things that make it human, I think it's ok to abort. & While adoption is a good thing, it's not always sunshine and roses for those children having to live like that. They don't get to have a normal childhood like one would having actual parents, that is until they are chosen for adoption. But a lot of times orphans are left to grow up parentless and are forced to go out in the world on their own because no one wanted them. Can you imagine how that would make a child feel? Knowing they aren't wanted because of not being good enough in the eyes of an adult? Again, I don't think it is ok for the woman to kill the baby right before the due date of her pregnancy or anything like that. But if it's before the kid is a kid, sometimes the better choice is to abort. This planet is overpopulated anyway. Also, thank you for replying with a neutral tone. It is appreciated. i don't like giving birth then just giving up the child, and if you look up the statistics of the child getting adopted, the chances are very slim, so theres no real point if that child won't have any parental figures anyways.
