Description To Disney, children are products. When they find a product they like, they sell it. No matter what. When a product doesn't sell anymore, they toss it out like a used tissue.

Think about it, how many former Disney stars went on to live successful, happy lives? Not as many as you might think.

The magic of Disney is all gone it went downhill ever since the rise of Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers

Do you the Disney company endorses child labor and hires pedophiles on the job? There was one director that worked with Disney that showed gay porno picture to a friggin 11 year old kid. Ad Disney defended the director, saying "he deserve a job too".

Disney is not as wholesome and innocent like it used to be.

Wholesome and innocent? LOL Disney was way creepier back in the day You need to watch some Silly Symphonies. Messed up shit right there. Hanna Montana's got nothing on King Neptune and his sadistic pirate-murdering sprees and big-boobied mermaid harem. Also, antisemitism, anyone?

They became way tamer, if anything. And pedophiles do need jobs (after they get out of prison :U). Maybe not around children, but they need jobs anyway.

Disney did a TON of anti-Hitler propaganda films in WWII. Just watch "Der Fuhrer's Face" or "Education For Death."

I've seen them. Doesn't suddenly take away from the fact that Disney's studio was anti-Semitic You are assuming that hating Jews makes you pro-fascism and unpatriotic (untrue), besides, the films you talked about don't even mention Jews in either a positive or negative light, which makes your examples irrelevant to my point. Plus, just as there are anti-Nazi gags, there were anti-Semitic ones, for example, in the short "The Opry House" Mickey Mouse is seen dressed and dancing as a Hasidic Jew and the original version of "The Three Little Pigs" has the Big Bad Wolf dressed as a stereotypical Jewish peddler, which was later removed when Jewish viewers complained.

My point stands-- Disney was never truly "wholesome".

It's okay to poke fun at everyone else, but not Jews. There are even Jewish comedians that poke fun at their own religion. Are they anti-semitic?

There's a difference between making a joke in good humor and making a joke out of spite. If I call my black friend "nigger" and he laughs and calls me "beaner", it's all fun and games, but I wouldn't go and call my black professor a nigger. If the Jewish community had to demand a joke be removed from a Disney short, it's obviously not fit for children's programming :U Context matters, my dear, and if people take that much offense, then I'd say it's better for a company like Disney--so concerned with being good ol' commercial family fun-- to be respectful and make it so that as many people as possible are comfortable watching their stuff. Whether it be Jews, Mexicans, Blacks, etc., being PC is in their best interest. Which is why your comedian example is pretty bad... not that many comedians that are concerned with not offending their audience.

Wow. Good point. I'd LIKE to think that those were a result of being conditioned by the current viewpoints of the generation, but...

Man. I think Disney's come a long way. Although a lot of it is sinister, just compare Rapunzel, Belle, Tiana, and Mulan to the older Disney princesses.

Damn, now you got me wanting to watch Silly Symphonies. I've never seen that movie before.
Also did you know that in the Lion King, they hide the word 'sex' in the wind on the part where Simba is standing on that rock and the wind blows? I had to rewind and pause at least five times to see it.

But kids need creepy things sometimes. Making them live in a pink saccharine bubble will ruin them.

This is so true. I mean, most of them have just had their jobs ripped out from under their feet. It's so stupid.

Er, no. It isn't true at all.

There has only been two famous former actresses that hit rock bottom, and that came from their own actions, not being discarded by Disney.

The artist's comment, I don't necessarily agree with. My own comment had nothing to do with what they ended up doing afterwards; Disney DID discard them, no matter how successful they were afterwards.

Nnnno, they were presented with contracts and offers from others outside the field Disney works in, and it up to them if they take them or not.

Leaving one company for another doesn't mean you are discarded. It means you move on.
