AFTER WATCHING AND FINALLY JUDGING, I DO NOT APPROVE OF THE PPG REBOOT. I'LL ONLY KEEP THIS STAMP UP FOR PEOPLE WHO AGREE WITH THIS STAMP.
I AM ALSO DISABLING COMMENTS IN CASE OF FUTURE COMMENT WARS.

Just between you and me, I met a user on DA who is absolutely obsessed with complaining about the reboot and it gets very tiresome; I know the reboot is bad, but there are worse things in this world.

Nevermind the fact that its a horrible reboot thats bringing back the trend of making cartoons 'hip' and 'doing what the kids like', which was something that died in the early 90s.
Also, the whole 'don't like don't look' is retarded.
the PPG reboot is not good, there are multiple videos showcasing the animation errors, the shit humor, the plot recycling, and everything else wrong with the show.

-i don't like the reboot either but honestly you're taking a cartoon way too seriously. you may think it's bad, but that wont mean everyone will agree with you.
-i don't care; if you don't like something then why spend all your time around it? if something i don't like is on, i change the channel and move on.
-you do realize i made this before the reboot aired, right? i didn't know the reboot was actually going to be bad, god dammit.
-i'm referring to the people i saw saying that the show had 'sjw writers' which i thought was ridiculous. anti sjws will say anything is sjw propaganda nowadays.

i didn't watch the original PPG, but even I can see the reboot is pretty awful.
it's actually pretty regressive compared to other cartoons today - like it wanted to hop on the "teach kids about these issues" train, but got off at the wrong stop.Β
Between awful animation, relying heavily on nostalgia, reducing the PPG recurring enemies to jokes (mojo jojo comes to mind), using outdated memes (eg. the powerpuff girls, who are around 7 years old, begin twerking), and an episode that blatantly misses the point of advocating for trans rights and coming off extremely transphobic, this reboot is an even larger trainwreck than TTG. At least that took the piss out of itself once.
A reboot should be able to stand on its own two legs as its own show - PPG 2016 can't.

i definitely heard about ms bellum being removed - a great role model for girls, cut completely because she had an hourglass figure. even though she was intelligent, beautiful, and more than likely the one running the city.
they also removed the kindergarden teachers quite frankly inoffensive semi-circle boobs. i know that sounds like a weird complaint, but this show's afraid to show a grown woman having boobs, but not afraid to show 6-7 year old girls twerking.

ok, i get what you're saying, and i honestly thought the same thing as you when i first heard about it. i'll try to explain it.
the episode with the unicorn, as previously mentioned, was supposed to tackle transgender issues (a creator's note specified such, found www.newnownext.com/powerpuff-gβ¦ here. the note in question:βWe did an episode where thereβs a unicorn. Basically when it starts out, heβs a pony, but he wants to be a unicorn,β Executive Producer Nick JenningsΒ told the Los Angeles Times . βHe has to go through a transformation to become a unicorn and so itβs a whole [episode that asks], βWhat are you on the inside? What are you on the outside? How do you identify yourself? How do people see you?β Thereβs a lot of subtext in that.β)
however:
-the characters in question immediately pointed out that the unicorn wasn't actually a unicorn (kind of like pointing out "oh you're not REALLY x gender" if that makes any sense?)
-the unicorn was shown to be extremely hostile and dramatic over it - an understandable reaction, but it was overdone and more of a mockery
-bubbles only cared about having a unicorn for a friend, rather than how said friend actually felt
-the operation done to the unicorn to make them fully a unicorn was shown to be quite frightening and turn them into a monster (not a good idea, while operations can and do go wrong, showing that they'll turn you into a monster if you get one is pretty damn awful while we're trying to convince people that trans people aren't horrible)
-at the end of the episode, it was revealed that the character in question was actually a unicorn all along - defeating the purpose of "this is an episode to tackle trans issues" since the unicorn never had to transition at all - they were always a unicorn.
it could be far far worse, and i disagree with tumblr on a number of things (eg. everyone seemed to hate how the show essentially said "hey a transition surgery is actually pretty dangerous and a big decision", but it made sense to me because it is), but i can still see where everyone else is coming from on this.

The designs of the new PPG looks the same as the originals, for most of the known characters, such as Mojo Jojo, the triplets, Professor Utonium, etc.
Also, on an semi-related note, DC has recasts in any DC movie ever or TV show and no one bats an eye. (For Example, in JL vs. TT, There are new VAs for the Teen Titans, such as Kari Wahlgren as Starfire instead of Hynden Walch. In Young Justice, Robin was voiced by Jesse McCartney instead of Scott Menville and Alyson Stoner from Step Up and Phineas and Ferb voices Batgirl instead of Tara Strong) But when the new PPG and the new DuckTales gets new VA's, everybody loses their minds.

Personally I don't think so... a reboot can be good as the original or even better.... or can be worst... or simply can be different....
