WIP of the portrait of Jessica Hamby ([link] ), A3, nearly 35h, graphite pencils (2H to 8B).It was long (above all the hair) but I'm glad of the result (even if the portrait doesn't look like Deborah Ann Woll). And I love her hair

Long... I think 35h is an awesome job for a drawing like this. It would take me double for sure. But then again, I think I am too perfectionist. I suppose you don't put every detail in as it is in the reference right? You must make your textures (skin, hair) up as you go along, don't you?

I often simplify some textures because it's impossible to get them with a small drawing. For example, I don't depict every skin pore, it's useless, I prefer focus on details such as the eyes or lips

I actually figured that as well that it would be too hard to do on that size paper, but you are pretty good at getting the textures to look real if you ask me.

i am getting soooo confused.
