From an unwritten gaiden story, not long after the Kumo kidnapping incident, there is a festival. Kushina decides to dress up and have some fun. (Not that she's thinking about meeting MInato there or anything.) So there she is, walking along, and she meets Minato and his two cutout teammates. Minato is smitten and trips over his tongue, but manages to indicate he thinks Kushina is very pretty. His cutout teammates snerk over "Kushimono" but Kushina is touched, and pleased that he thinks she is pretty...
