So close and so beautiful. I love loons so much. We get them over here but they're rare where I live... you have to go all the way up north to see them on the water and not just flying...

I feel you'r "pain".. ._. We have to wait them about 6 months, before they comes back to here.. I miss them already.. :/

I live in America, so all the pretty birds go south, while the mundane ones like Robins and Cardinals stay up here. At least the corvids and titmice are always nice to have around, and the wintering birds are cute too.

I never see any grouse where I live. If we're lucky we'll see a stray turkey, but that's it...
