well, they don't take time for doing, but they have a mesagge, thing who art have in some form.
and sometimes you can find some cute ones (and these i use)

Personally, I don't consider a stamp an Art because they are simple to do sometimes and are not as time consuming as a drawn Art.Β
HOWEVER. They are an Art in a different format. A stamp can literally give off a lot of expression, emotion and opinion, which is a form of Art, but not literally a piece of Art. Hopefully nobody takes my opinion offensive though ~Β

Ok... no. They are an accessory.
Look, I make stamps too, so I've got nothing against them. But I wouldn't call them art.
Why? because to make art takes lots of effort, putting your soul (not only your opinions) in it. A drawing takes time, talent and practice, a photography moving around and waiting for the right moment, or manipulate the reality, a sculpture... well, that's superior words now.
Making a stamp is easy, no special skills are required. And it makes me sad that my most faved submission is a stamp I made in five minutes rather than a painting I spent half a week working on.

Of course it doesnt apply to all stamps, but a few.
(not mine, probably - but those like the portal stamp where the artist put in so much effort to make emotes and animate them etc)

Great, then let's hold stamps up to the standards of the rest of the art on dA, and remove the zillions of stamps that are screen captures or video captures of copyrighted material.

Except when they use copyrighted material, like brand titles, game sprites, and animations from other shows/movies.
I laugh when I see people complain about character templates, motivational posters, and using other people's work for things like anatomy, yet I see their favorites are full of stamps that have outright stolen material. Many of the artists of those stamps don't even create the stamp templates.
However, when I see a stamp really make some original art, I really love it.
