Description A gift for this seed bead, peyote-stitch frog took me almost the entire summer to complete (due to various mis-starts and my complete lack of experience with peyote-stich). It's a little messy, but I like the end result. It came from a pattern by Sharon Bateman in the June issue of Bead and Button. I only changed a few things - the color of the frog's body and eye are switched, and I added more greenery and changed the color of some of the flowers, but the pattern is largely the same.

Holy wow, I didn't realize it was beading originally! I thought it was cross stitch or something like that! I'm very impressed, it turned out so well! And the color choices you made are great too - I love the blues in the background especially.

Thanks! Now I'm wishing I could redo this one, because I could make the thread so much smoother, but my friend is still happy with it, so I guess I have to leave it alone

very nice work!just boggles my mind, you people who can do this kind of thing...such order and effort it must demand!i like the use of complimentary tones here too...and the frog has quite a lot of personality

I think it boggled my mind too It'll be awhile before I attempt another one of these monsters (and hopefully the next one will look better).

i think this one looks great! reminds me of some sort of dendrobates, which i've always liked.

Thank you so much for this Frog tapestry!
ALL summer it DID take! such determination..yes. I appreciate all the effort and lovingly chosen 'mascot' that you made for me.
I will hang it as a room decoration, maybe by the window so the light can shine through it...Do you have any ideas of what kind of fixture I can put it on?

You can probably thread a thin-gauge wire through the topmost beads and hang it that way.
