For Christmas. c:
I like to think about Vanellope’s first Christmas with her family. Game characters may not be religious, but they know Christmas - decorations around the arcade and comments overheard from Litwak and gamers, a day to just be with the people you love and give gifts and eat junkfood.
And like all things, Vanellope (and Ralph) has been on the outside looking in.
But this time… this time… she gets to help with the tree and bake things and she has a dorky sweater (Calhoun knitted it) and there are presents under the tree with her name on them and she doesn’t believe in Santa because she never got gifts even though she knew she wasn’t bad but she appreciates the thoughtfulness of getting the Santa gifts with the regular one, and everyone oohs over the things she made to give them and they all stuff themselves with cookies and peppermint and hot chocolate.
There will be more Christmases and they’re all great, but this one is magic.

Once again, you enhance the picture wonderfully with your description. The idea of Vanellope's first Christmas is sheer genius, and you lay it out in such vivid, compelling detail that I can just see it and it is beautiful. <3
Which goes nicely with the pic itself, too. That is one adorable little Vanellope, with her big beaming smile and I-can-barely-contain-myself cheek squeeze. The antlers are a great touch, too, and I LOVE how you're able to fit so much detail coherently into such a little pic. It's a heaping helping of Wonderful in a tiny little package, and who can say no to that? 8D
