For some reason I can't ship a pairing without eventually turning one or both members into mermaids

This picture was actually inspired by some really cute FACE family/Ponyo crossover fanart over on Tumblr. (I'd give a link, but I'm having a lot of trouble and I don't want to get more of a headache figuring things out. (EDIT: here's the post. Yay!)) I haven't seen Ponyo (it's on my Netflix queue), but the image was enough to make me go back to the idea of mermaid!FrUK that had been in my head around the time I started my Gargtalia series. Originally, I was going to include America and Canada, but decided against it. Let France and England have their fishy fun without the kiddies.

I decided to give France a fancy angel fish looking tail and England a plain one, just cause. Looking back, I wish I had played with the colors a bit more. Maybe I should have made France's tail purple instead of blue? Whatevs, I still like it overall.
