Description Thinking of submitting this as part of my portfolio. I like the color version way better but I've been trying to find a black and white action that I like.

Taken on the beach outside the hotel in Big Sur. I put the top rock on

I think I like the colored version better, too. But this one seems to have a different feel. Would I sound crazy if I said this one reminded me of Disneyland? Haha. Like...one of those little tiny buildings on that river ride. I think it's because that red hot color isn't looking so....red hot. In the background there. So it's all fairytale-ish.

BUT I STILL SEE THE LLAMA.

Haha, I just saw the llama as I was quickly going through my profile. It's only with a quick glimpse though.

I've been calculating and I think we could do a 4 night vacation to Monterey and Big Sur/Hearst Castle for about $250 a person if there was four of us, and $250 is on the safe side, it could probably be more like $200 to $225. Wooooould that be something you would be able to/ actually want to do? I think it'd be cool to actually go on vacation with all us girls and since you're the only person I've even mentioned it to I figured I'd just try

Hrm...well, what time of the year would we be doing this? Because right now I have like...maybe $20, haha. I'd have to save up, but that price doesn't sound too bad at all! And it does sound super fun. So YES! I love this idea.

It wouldn't be until July or possibly even August, so there's still time But since it's mostly motel types there, the rooms are pretty cheap so I figure about $70ish each for the rooms, $40ish for gas (which is way more than enough....but in case we decide to go adventuring along the coast, extra gas money would be nice , and then $50 for two tours of Hearst Castle. Then there's food of course, but we could go to Costco before and stock up on muffins and other yummy things to keep us from having to go out to eat too much. I think the only thing left is parking fees for the different beaches but that's only like $5 or $10 so that wouldn't be a huge cost. I guess the only thing that would make this cost more is if cheap rooms get booked up and we have to go a little higher.

But yay! I really hope this can happen.

I like this idea. Have you told Brittany or Lisa yet? I hope they like the idea as much as we do.

Nope, haven't told them yet. I figured I'd ask you first since we kind of talked about Big Sur the past couple days. And now I'm going to do a bit more research and figure out a more exact plan before I tell them

Ooh, I feel special, haha.

When they respond you should tell me what they think. BUT OF COURSE HOW COULD THEIR RESPONSES BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN, "AWESOME."

I know, this doesn't completely translate to black and white but I really want to put it in my portfolio. The teacher said we could put in color instead of black and white, but since they're supposed to come from a black and white class I'm scared they'll reject it. I might include it in color as an extra piece though.

Haha, Disneyland? I guess it does kind of go with the Tom Sawyer Island feel
