Description
In the next morning, Uhodari trotted down to the waterhole again, where he was cornered by his "mother's" pride. He grunted. "What do you want here? I will not take part of your plan anymore."
"Calm down, son." Kupambana growled. "I just came here to say that, with your scar, you earn your keep. Mufasa was too weak to ban his brother, and so is Simba to ban you. And when he gets strenght, I will /NOT/ take you back."
"Mufasa wasn't weak!" Uhodari spat. "Scar was! He killed Mufasa when he was weakened in the Stampede! I can bet you knew that!"
"How could you say that, Uhodari!" Kupambana growled. "Are you betraying your family, just like Kovu?"
"I will tell you something, Kupambana. I am NOT your family, I can remember I was adopted."
"Fine. don't come to me crying, though, if Simba bans you. Let's go, everyone."
At Kupambana's order, her pride retreated and walked away.
"That was too easy..." Uhodari mumbled. "I wonder what she is up to..."
Uhodari didn't notice someone was watching from above. Not from priderock, but from the clouds. Soon enough, Mufasa's cloud blew away as if the wind pushed it.
"Uhodari?" Nama had gone down Pride Rock while he was distracted thinking.
"Hey Nama." Uhodari shook his head, just to sound like he knew she was there. "What's up?"
"Nothing much..." Nama shrugged. "And what about you?"
"N-nothing much, either." He didn't want to tell her about his mother's appearing.
"Want to come to the waterhole? The morning lessons are finally over." Nama invited.
"Sure." Uhodari nodded and followed her.
As soon as they were on their way, Chaka noticed them, and flicked his ears. "What is sister doing with that rogue.. Didn't he tell her about what he told me? Maybe.. That is a plan!" Chaka growled and jumped from his hiding spot, tackling Uhodari.
"Hey, get your paws out of me!" Uhodari growled, as Nama pushed Chaka off with her front legs.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?!" Nama growled. She was far from noticing her brother didn't die out there.
"I guess you don't remember me, huh, sis? Did HE tell you to forget about me?" Chaka spat at Uhodari.
"I don't know what you are talking about..." Nama and Uhodari said at once.
"It is me, Chaka!" He hissed. "HE told me about the outlands. I just went to explore, and his mother's pride attacked me and Shani! We had to run away, and we had to avoid the borders!"
"Chaka?" Nama squinted. "We thought you were dead! That is why we didn't go after you, you were far from the borders when we noticed you went missing... And where is Shani?"
"Dead..." He sighed. "Thanks to the hyenas. and still reminding she wouldn't die if it wasn't HIM." He growled at Uhodari again.
"Listen, it wasn't MY fault if you can't hear about a place without wanting to explore it!" Uhodari, who was quiet until then, finally decided to defend his self.
"Bring it on!" Chaka growled. "YOUR mother wanted you to befriend us just to defeat Simba and my father!"
Uhodari froze. He could very well tell about it for Chaka. But what about Nama? She was his friend since they were cubs, and mainly after she helped him with his wound, he didn't want to lose her. But well, thruth should be said sometime. Uhodari glanced around as the Pride surrounded them. "Fine... It is true..."
Nama gasped. As soon as she heard it, her legs stopped holding her and she dropped to the ground. "I believed you, Uhodari!" She sobbed. "I thought I finally did get someone to talk to, but all you wanted was to be our enemy!" She sobbed. "Leave me alone!" She growled when Uhodari tried to help her up.
"Kovu..." Uhodari turned to him. "Let me explain. You might understand it better than the others." He started to talk about his past. "When I was a cub, before meeting your daughter, I fell into a gorge and Kupambana saved me. She adopted me, like your mother adopted you. Please, forgive me."
Kiara remained quiet, raising her eyebrows to remind her mate about their past difficulties to remain together.
"Fine... Uhodari, adopted son of Kupambana and stated as a rogue, I hereby forgive you for all your crimes." Kovu said, formally.
"WHAT!" Chaka growled. "Dad, and what about me!"
"He didn't know you would go there, son." It was obvious Kovu noticed that the rogue that attacked Uhodari was his son. "So, it wasn't his fault."
"Fine, whatever. But I've got the same right to stay home than HE did, then."
Chaka didn't wait for an answer before storming home.
"I will talk to him." Kovu turned around to go home.
"Wait for me, I will help." Kiara sighed and followed him. Could it be that Chaka raised hatred for Uhodari in his heart, for as more as she teached him not to hate anyone? Indeed, Shani's death is what should have changed him.
As the Pride went off to check the borders, Nama sat down, crying. Uhodari sighed and sat closeby.

Ok, and here we've got a touching (or not-so touching) meeting from Chaka and the rest of the pride. And will Nama fight with Uhodari or are they up to become even closer friends? We will see at next page... And yet, first time I've added a hand-drawn lion to the picture... (Mufasa's cloud, of course.)
