Welcome to the Miracleverse! AKA, the Disliked Ships AU, but I don't use this as a platform for hate. While the universe is slightly... twisted, they are all options that could have happened in the main TFIMverse. They're a chance to do things with the... standard ships that people have, and using them in new ways, as well as a platform for interesting characters. I want to do some different things with the designs, so I may note the standard designs I tried to avoid with each design. These designs have been done for... an embarrassing amount of time, so expect a lot of the designs at once, I finally decided to upload them.
The reason Quackers (her nickname as a kid after she got her cutie mark) here doesn't have as complex a bio is that she's going to be one of the tertiary characters, or in other words, much like her parents, not main protagonists or a huge part of the plot, but rather a side character in another's story. She's a part of Cloudsdale's story.
Daughter of Lightning Dust and Dumbbell, Dust Showers is, unbeknownst to anyone but Lightning Dust, secretly Rainbow Dash's granddaughter, as a lot of time trickery and shit involved is the Lightningverse (which should really get updated, it no longer fits entirely) but long story short; Lightning Dust comes from another bad future, and is Spitfire and Rainbow Dash's daughter. Through time shenanigans (and probably Starlight Glimmer), she's over here.
Dust Showers knows none of this, obviously, just that she's related to Spitfire in some way her mom won't explain because of a VERY awkward time when she was crushing on Spitfire and Braeburn's daughter and her mom NEEDED to communicate that this was off limits in all ways in a not fucking around kind of way. She's just a valley girl with a jock streak, somewhere on the upper scale of that 'Prep/Jock/Goth/Nerd' alignment chart, around 'Preppy Jock' or 'Jockish Prep'.... she's just your average teenage girl, really.
Not much about her, besides that she lives, with her mother, in a very cheap part of working class Cloudsdale, with her dad being a low ranking weather factory worker and her mom not having a job, they can't afford much. This means she has a lot of Hippogriff friends, as most of them were relocated without the money to buy homes. Her best friends are hippogriffs, but they're pretty scary, she has to admit she can understand why ponies are afraid of them; her best friend is 2 years younger than her at 14, and she towers over Dust. They're big, scary, and have claws, but she'd defend them to her dying breath, she swears... which she has to do more than she'd like.
Lightning Dust moped around for most of her life... After all, she changed the future, it's her fault that the baby princess is dead, right? She went back and made it even worse... (NOTE: This is not true, and she had nothing to do with it, but she can't help but feel responsible for it, because she doesn't KNOW it's not her fault and the butterfly effect convinced her it was a possibility.) She met Dumbbell while recovering at an AA meeting, where he was working extra shifts as a janitor, and used him as a pillow to sob her sins into. She only told him once, and he's convinced that was just a drunken rant, but it's the truth. Dumbbell works extra shifts to support his wife, as she doesn't have a job, after all; getting banned from the Wonderbolts for reckless endangerment of civillians is a huge black mark on one's permanent record to getting hired in Cloudsdale, a city built on the military.
