[+] - Kind - Echowhisper will help anyone who is in need, no matter what clan they're from. She has a heart of gold and rarely ever wishes ill-intentions towards another cat. (rarely) If she sees a clanmate in pain, she'll do her best to help them through it, even if it's just being there to listen.

[ Character History: ]

Kithood: - Echokit had a fairly normal kithood, despite the lack of a father in her life, she and her brother, Stridekit, were born to their mother, Duskheart. She and her brother were very close as kits, and she'd always follow him around, which would sometimes lead her into trouble. She often spent time in the medicine den, or at the entrance, simply watching the medicine cat work and sort herbs. It was interesting to her, but it didn't seem to interest her brother or any of the other kits, so she kept to herself about it. Unlike Stridekit, she never really questioned where or who their father was, at least, not out loud. She often wondered who their father could be, but she thought it would be better to not find out, which is why she refused to go with Stridekit when he wanted to go out of camp to look for their father. Stridekit eventually got caught by the night patrol, and his apprentice ceremony was postponed as the consequence. Echokit felt bad, even though he deserved it for putting himself in danger, and so she asked to have her ceremony postponed as well, so that they could become apprentices together.

Apprenticeship: - Once their postponed ceremony rolled around, Echokit was now Echopaw. Her mentor was her mother, and Echopaw was more than excited to finally explore the territory and learn about the outside world. Everything seemed to be going well, despite the lingering feeling of not fitting in that Echopaw felt, until Stridepaw had told her about what their mother had told him. Their father was a rogue named Storm, whom she still visited. Echopaw wasn't as angry as Stridepaw was, but more sad and hurt than anything. She wished that he had been in her life, that way they could have had a full and perfect family, but it was not Starclan's will. Near the end of her 6th moon, Echopaw was out of camp with her mother during the night time, when they were ambushed by a rogue. The rogue attacked Echopaw, causing her to go blind in her right eye. It was a traumatic experience, and it landed Echopaw in the medicine den for nearly 2 moons until she was physically fit to go out again. During this time, however, she bonded a lot with the medicine cat, Leafwhistle, and showed a lot of potential to become the next medicine cat. Echopaw told her that she had always wanted to follow the line of medicine instead of being a warrior, as she wasn't mentally fit to go through the things warriors did. Hurting others was always a hard thing to do for her, and now that she was disabled in one eye, she would be physically unable to become a true warrior. Leafwhistle took her in happily, and thus making Echopaw the new medicine cat apprentice. This, however, angered her childhood friend, Greypaw. Greypaw pushed Echopaw to keep trying to be a warrior, trying to train her to be fit again. All this pressure made Echopaw snap at Greypaw, and tell her she didn't want to be a warrior, which ended their friendship, much to Echopaw's despair and regret.

Medicine Cat Apprenticeship: - Now that she finally was happy with her role in the clan, Echopaw was more hopeful for her future, despite the large wound on her face and terrifying nightmares. She absolutely loved learning the many herbs that were scattered around the territories and their uses, helping those in need, and the many other roles that she now had. She especially loved to visit the Moonstone and share tongues with Starclan. The fact that Greypaw, her best friend, had stopped talking to her, however, caused her to forever hold a pang of emptiness and sadness in her stomach, blaming herself for moons to come. Echopaw noticed that Stridepaw was a little upset that she wouldn't be a warrior with him, but she was glad that he accepted it. However, this happiness faded as she found her mother's wrangled corpse laying in the middle of the clearing, two warriors having brought her back from the forest. She was horrified at the sight, her heart seeming to shatter at the sight. Despite her mother's ignorance of her now that she was hurt and the fact that she loved a rogue, Echopaw still loved her with all her heart, and it absolutely crushed her to see the cat that brought her life and cared for her, dead. It took a few days for Echopaw to get back to a more happy mood, but she was still suffering from everything that had happened in such a short amount of time. Things seemed to get happier, however, when Stridepaw had his warrior ceremony, becoming Stridetail. Echopaw was more than happy to see him finally achieve the role, and she greeted him first, extremely proud of him. It took a bit for Echopaw to earn her warrior name, but Leafwhistle gave it to her at the Moonstone with the most pride she'd ever felt, introducing Echowhisper to the other medicine cats.

Medicine Cat: - Echowhisper was in love with her new name, and she was finally in her dream role. However, she noticed that Stridetail was becoming more and more distant, until one day, he disappeared without warning. She was extremely worried and scared for him, but she didn't have time to let her thoughts consume her, as she had to take care of her clanmates, as well as Leafwhistle, who had caught a terrible case of greencough. Leafwhistle ended up passing away, which crushed Echowhisper even more. She was like a mother to her, and it was hard to see her die. She knew she would see her in Starclan, however, and she eventually got back in the swing of things. She had to, now that she was the only medicine cat. One day, whilst out gathering herbs, Stridetail had finally come back to talk to her. She was upset that he never told her where he went, and was sad because she thought he died, but she was glad he was alive nonetheless. They continued meeting until one day, he appeared at the Thunderclan border, explaining he had moved to Thunderclan and was happy there. She, too, was happy for him, but still misses him. During her beginning of being a medicine cat, she was introduced to Racoonstreak. The two became good friends, and Echowhisper noticed that she was his only friend, despite his... interesting personality. Later on, she became a mother-esque figure to a few apprentices, one being Coyotepaw, whom was stuck in the medicine den for a while due to an awful injury, which caused some type of bonding time. He's snappy most of the time, but she can tell that he's grateful for her kindness. Many moons passed, and everything seemed to be going okay, until the earth began to crack open and threaten to break everything the clan cats had known. And it did. Everything was absolute chaos, cats were harmed and even killed, and Echowhisper could do nothing to stop it besides run. Whilst clearing out the ruined Shadowclan camp, she ended up falling into a crack herself, but was saved by a Skyclan tom named Lioncall. She was absolutely grateful for his rescue, and made a promise that she would return the favor one day. Continuing on, however, she ran into a more... familiar pelt. The familiar pelt, was Caracalpaw. The two traveled together for only a bit, until finally they settled in the new clan territories, everything going back to normal, or, at least as normal as it could be. During their travels, Echowhisper began to grow feelings for the exotic tom, but she pushed them down and tried to ignore them to the best of her ability, knowing that she was a medicine cat and could never love or be loved, along with her self-loathing and doubt that he'd ever like a she-cat like herself. Moons passed since the journey to the new territories, Echowhisper making trips to visit Coyotepaw, Coyotecall now, in his new clan, Reedclan. She missed him greatly, him being a son in her eyes, but she was happy for him nonetheless. Drama began to increase around Echowhisper, especially with Greytuft, Caracalpaw, Coyotecall and Weaseltooth. Weaseltooth had been hit by a monster, and Echowhisper did her best to save him and- luckily, she was able to. Moons passed, and Coyotecall moved into Marshclan once again, causing Echowhisper to brighten up and feel not so alone. She also gained her first apprentice during this time, and she's excited to teach Ravenpaw all she knows. However, she feels a bit odd being so young and already having an apprentice, but she's happy despite that. Later on, Echowhisper found Jaybird's mangled form near the camp, which sent all sorts of alarms of panic and worry in her mind as she rushed to get her sister back to the medicine den. She was frantically rushing to find the right herbs to treat her dying sister, until she heard her sister's last words of 'it's okay' before she went limp. Echowhisper did not take this well, and is still hurt and blames herself for her sister's death. [ ONGOING. ]
