Sometimes you just need an anxious, serious model / reference, I guess. I was sure it was a deliberate choice of facial expression, not your natural face in repose!

Once upon a time I tackled a girl on the playground and tried turning her hair blue by coloring it with a crayon. She went back to class crying and I was sent to the principle's office, which meant a paddling, (yes, they did that back then), and a note home to my dad. Which meant another paddling. It wasn't until the next morning he asked me what in the world I was thinking, assaulting that poor girl on the playground yesterday. Still thinking I committed a major crime, I shyly confessed to him that I was in love with her and all she ever talked about was wanting blue hair just like all her Barbies that she turned blue because that was her favorite color....or something like that. I'm sure I misunderstood her for months trying to get close enough to hear her beautiful voice day after day. This was 2nd grade. I was instructed to never talk to her again and we were assigned desks on opposite corners of the room. We boys can try so hard with the purest of intentions only to miss our target by a world. Or two.
LOL. And yes; like you, her hair was black. You wear it well.
