Got Katniss photos back from my shoot with Galaxy42 Photography (Flickr), and they're SO COOL. I look like I could actually survive the Hunger Games in these pics lol.That's also a real recurve bow. I actually do shoot some archery! (We decided to not string it up for safety reasons, because, y'know, stuff that could actually kill you).

You may want to bend your left arm a bit so you don't get bowstring burn... Β Nice picture! I'm not into the Hunger Games, but I can appreciate the quality of your photo. Neat angle, and GREAT right arm posture! Thant is also a very nice dress/skirt. Did you make it?

Thank you! Usually I do, but I was A-- trying to balance on that log in heels and B-- that bow isn't actually strung, so I was pantomiming as best as I could while trying to balance the arrow with just my fingertips. When I actually shoot, I've got arm guards for that.
And yes, I designed this version of the dress after I read the books/before the movie came out, and constructed it myself.
