Description
Trauma, grief, and difficult circumstances may change us in deep ways. It can take time to find ourselves again, and the Self we find on the other side may look very different from how we remembered her. She may be wounded, but she is just as beautiful as before and may take on nuances of color the old Self didn’t know existed.“New Rose” is the first realistic portrait I painted in acrylic. I completed this piece over 4 months in 2017. The original painting is on a 16x20” canvas.
