The composition is good; and the pose works well. Not sure whether it's helped by the soft-focus or not - a sharper image might have given it more dramatic effect.
Also, is that a paperclip? Sort of distracts from the emotion of the scene.

no scrap movement please, its a good picture, the only thing I'd take a second look at is the contrast, but even then the mistery of it is very nice
