SPLASH BATTLE
vs FR Brothers
SPARKTACUS and CODE-X vs Shiir and Sceptile
DUO AGAINST DUO
It wasn't often that the two boys went out on dates; aptly named, the more delicate points of relationships often made them unsure as how to behave. However, Zei had worked up somewhat of an idea for a date, and the two headed into the woods alongside Mount Challenger for a peaceful time away from other people (namely Cain) to be by themselves.
Everything went smoothly until two men in some sort of futuristic body suits lept onto the scene, saw Shiir and Zei's Sceptile and immediately challenged the two to a fight, shouting loudly to each other and proclaiming the battle as if it were something so epic it would go down in the history books.
CODE-X knew he had a type advantage against the shiny Mightyena and, spinning in midair to deliver an X-Scissor, signaled to SPARKTACUS to deliver a blow as well. However, the three yellow pokemon didn't seem to realize how much they stood out...or how well Sceptile was camoflauged.
After the battle, the Brothers left the Duo behind. Sulking.
Way to ruin the mood, guys.

Your painting style is getting more amazing so fast! I am jealous!
You managed to depict a lot of depth in the picture and on the characters themselves with this shading. Code-X is probably the best example of this, I love how you included the shadows over his head casted by his antennae as well as the ones on the log made by his needlearmthings. The fur on Shiir and Sparktacus is done really well too. DELICIOUS TEXTURES.

IIiiii would like to encourage you to put the same amount of detail into backgrounds in future battles since this one is visibly much more rushed and less polished then the characters and that's a pity, because with this new style you could do some really cool stuff there!

i knowwww i am really bad about rushing BGs because i ... generally find them less fun to draw. than, like, anything else. i still spent more time on this one than most though lol. i just kind of need to buckle down and beat myself until i get stuff practiced and all set and stuff orz

and of course i had to put a bit of their designs into my interpretations of them; they're way too cool to ignore. the idea of a bee mecha is ... terrifying, but awesome at the same time. and spark is just a badass, so you can't go wrong there!

The E4, well.
One is psychic, one is ghost, one is dark, and one is fighting. And the champion has three bugs, but over all his team is eclectic.
But, no, it isn't week to grass, the person in the video just spec'd it's 'Lilligant' very well.
but Lilligant? Doredia is so much of a better name. Naaaah.

yessss, sai. i do have photoshop -- elements 2.0 and 7.0 -- and as far as drawing goes SAI is superior. it IS what it was designed for, after all. the tools are much more ... innovative? i guess? and it just works better for drawing as far as i'm concerned. or maybe elements just sucks, which i have also heard. if you're interested, the official site for SAI offers a 30 day trial!

what's cool is that neither of us used any of the same pokemon in our halves, lol.
the more i look at it, i don't think his neck is too long, but i drew his foremost shoulder too far down, so it makes it look like his neck kind of extends past that point. or something. i don't know if that makes any sense. orz
